This summer has been great. I did not have plans... Usually the Army keeps me busy so I assumed they would once again find me something to do. I did have my annual 2 weeks of fun in the sun. It came at about the worst time. almost the middle of the summer. The last two weeks of June. It made summer school impossible at UNO. I did not get into the Army school I needed to attend because the 1st section was in January and I missed it. As usual something came to mind. I decided to ride my bicycle from New Orleans to Arkansas. Danny Salzer even gave me the bright idea that I should kayak back down the Mississippi river. I left on July the 1st. Jacob Candler told me I should post pictures and even blog about what I was getting into. Well the places I ended up are
still not connected to the internet. I could not even get a cell phone signal. So I am still going to post pictures and give day by day details of all the stuff I found along the way. During my adventure I had two rules that I stuck with. Write a Journal about where I had been and what I had done... And write about a person who has changed my life and why. The pictures came out great and so did I. As I get my notes and pictures I will post them on this blog.
